Need original content?
There must be something in the air right now, because the majority of my clients are approaching me to request original blogs, case studies and articles fit to publish to their websites. The mix is broad, with new start-ups keen to get their info out into the public domain, and more established colleagues seeking out a more original approach to their marketing. What they all have in common, is that they all know that posting out new material on a regular basis is absolutely key in staying on top of internet search rankings.
SEO, or search engine optimisation if you’re not familiar, is a fluid concept with a mix of both simple and scientific principles underpinning its success. The simplest solution to sorting your website’s search ranking is to keep your content fresh, changing and original. This not only keeps you current within the rankings, but also demonstrates to your clients that you care about what you do and how you are represented.
You’ve got enough going on actually running your business or venture right now, and regardless of what several previous clients have said to me when putting work my way, writing an original piece most certainly does not ‘take two minutes’. Why? Well firstly, it’s because you need time to come up with an original idea. Next, you need a way of putting this across in an even more original way. Then, you need to make sure the piece in question is written concisely, precisely and perfectly, because any errors, mistakes or flaws will reveal to your readers that you have little time for attention to detail. Not a strong start for setting the tone of your business.
Finally, you need time to step back, review and perfect all that you’ve created and ask yourself, “Is this the most original, inspiring and professional work I could have created?” It’s the same question that, as a professional, you’d be asking yourself upon the completion of your service or product anyway.
If by this point you’re still reading this, and you agree that creating material for your website, social media platforms or publicity outlets will indeed take you more than two minutes, and you also admit that you may not have the resource or objectivity to really do this justice, then get in touch.
Instructing me to write your material is quick, easy and inexpensive – unlike trying to take this on yourself!
In order to produce original blogs, case studies and articles, at a frequency of your choice, all I need are three things: A topic, an angle, and a handful of key words you’d like me to zone in on – because nobody knows your market and your customers better than you do.
If you think this option may be for you as you seek to stay on top of the search rankings as well as the competition, then get in touch!
